Finished projects

CZ-TPIS realized five main projects focused primarily on enhancing cooperation and mutual relations among universities, research institutes, public administration and businesses in the field of industrial safety, building up sustainable channels for communication and effective instruments for collaboration, establishing joint R&D projects and educational and training activities.

SAF€RA – Coordination of European Research on Industrial Safety towards Smart and Sustainable Growth

Duration: 1.4.2012 – 31.3.2015

Objectives of SAF€RA:

  • Building up sustainable channels for communication and effective instruments for collaboration between national programme owners and/or managers and promoting the creation of collective, strategic coalitions at the European level
  • Increasing awareness about the importance of research in the field of industrial safety as a major contributor to a dynamic knowledge-based economy as well as working to strengthen the impact of this research at the EU, national and international levels
  • Exploiting synergies and avoiding duplications of research and development among the partners of the Consortium and reducing fragmentation of the European Research Area by increased coordination
  • Establishing joint programmes of transnational research projects between the involved Member States,materializing in a pilot programme collaborating research projects between the SAF€RA partners and serving as a test bed for the future joint programming
  • Developing and implementing common, joint, strategic activities to establish a durable European network for cooperation between key actors in the field of industrial safety

Safety AGENT – Increasing partnerships and education in the field of industrial safety

Duration: 2.4.2012 – 1.4.2014

Objectives of Safety AGENT:

  • Enhancing cooperation and mutual relations among universities, research institutes, public administration and businesses in the field of industrial safety
  • Expansion and intensification of communication and exchange Networks
  • Identification of the needs of all participants (universities, research institutes, public administration and businesses)
  • Knowledge transfer and increased cooperation, which will contribute to better overall competitiveness of Czech research and business entities.
  • Creation of international cooperation on a European scale

The development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of industrial safety in the CR

Duration: 1.6.2012 – 31.12.2014

Objectives of the project:

  • Update of the medium-term strategic document Strategic research agenda and Implementation action plan for the development of industrial safety in the CR
  • Practical implementation of strategic documents by linking research, academic and business spheres
  • Initiation and implementation of research and development projects and activities aimed at developing the field of safety & security,
  • Strengthening the innovation and competitiveness of Czech industry,
  • Development of cooperation with the European Technology Platform on Industrial Safety (ETPIS) and support of greater involvement of CZ-TPIS members into further cooperation with European partners

EU funding:Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation, 6 M CZK

CZ-TPIS Training – Additional training of staff members of CZ-TPIS

Duration: 1.1.2011 – 31.1.2014

Objectives of CZ-TPIS Training project:

  • Providing CZ-TPIS members with the opportunity of further educating their employees
  • Increasing competitiveness of business and Czech industry in the Czech Republic

EU funding: The Human Resources and Employment Operational Programme, 20 M CZK

RAPlus – The development of application potential

Main coordinator of the project: The Transport Research Centre (CDV), CZ-TPIS as a project partner

Duration: 1.1.2011 – 31.12.2013

Objectives of RAPlus:

  • Involvement of the application sphere in research
  • Strengthening current cooperation and establishing new partnerships and networks
  • Internships and professional practice to get new experience with networking both abroad and in the Czech Republic
  • Identification and initiation of new cooperation topics (meetings, round tables)
  • Training and systematic education
  • Establishing a project office
