PS4 – Education and Training
Education and training are the steps that have a major impact on the level of knowledge of industrial safety and overall safety culture of enterprise. Training and education, among other things, help to create and enhance the ability to recognize, evaluate and manage risks, to improve the perception of industrial risks, to maintain and improve personal awareness and expertise in security issues and to promote changes in individual behaviour. The basis for safety in industry and for the continuous improvement of its level is to train managers at all levels and others in the problems, principles and methodologies related to the industrial risk analysis, prevention and mitigation, a set of methodological procedures to minimize risk as well as providing safety and protection of health at work. The priority in terms of human behaviour and managing human potential is to be seen in training selected target groups, particularly their stress and stereotype prevention management skills, modern methods of human resources and other skills in the field of personality psychology.
Objectives and priorities of the research
Training and education is the key to achieving a high level of safety consciousness. In accordance with the ETPIS, the organization of activities in the field of education and training is divided into three areas:
