Second International Open Workshop on Local-Scale Airborne Hazards Modelling and Emergency Response

INERIS is pleased to invite you to the Second International Open Workshop on Local-Scale Airborne Hazards Modelling and Emergency Response in the framework of COST1006 that will take place on June, 13th 2013 at Club Confair, 54, rue Laffite 75009 Paris (France).

Emergency first responders and authorities have to face a large spectrum of potential threats due to the releases of hazardous agents in built environments. Due to the complexity of the wind field in built-up areas, adequate flow and dispersion modelling, and health impact assessment tools are required to predict the dispersion of hazardous materials with sufficient accuracy within a very short time. Different types of tools are applied in practice; however, the advantages and limitations of the models are often not evaluated properly.

Who will attend?
We invite stakeholders, decision makers, practitioners and scientists active in the field of development and use local-scale airborne hazards modelling. Invited presentations will document the challenges of local-scale emergency response modelling.

How to attend?
Since the number of participants is limited, nonbinding preregistration is required. Preregistered participants will receive further detailed information on the workshop program. To register for the workshop, please send an email-message with relevant contact data (at least name, affiliation, email) to costes1006@ineris.fr.

Workshop participation is free of charge.

Further information will be provided at the Action website http://www.elizas.eu/
